A hugely successful event for the Hospice, for the City, for the Running Community and for our Army of Volunteers.
Our sincere appreciation to our Title Sponsors – Admiral, also to the University of South Wales, St Josephs Hospital and all our other sponsors and supporters.
We are immensely grateful to the community of Newport who come out to support the runners and who tolerate the road closures. They have embraced this event and made it so special.
The Army of volunteers, the many groups, clubs, individuals who every year come forward to stand in the cold for hours and who cheer and encourage the runners along the way – you are awesome.
Finally – to the runners. You put in the training, put your heart into the hard work to get you around the 13.1 miles – and you are supporting the charity. If you loved it, or even if you didnt love it so much – please spread the word and encourage everyone to have a go next year. Every penny raised will be used to help people who would give anything to be fit enough to put on a pair of trainers and do what you do. The vital funds raised helps to ensure the charity can provide bespoke care packages to families facing extremely challenging times, and ensure everyone has a real choice of where they receive end of life care.
